After the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City in April of 1995, President Bill Clinton sought to tie conservative talk radio to the atrocity, accusing t hem of egging on the Timothy McViegh’s until violence spills into the streets. “They spread hate,” said the President, “they leave the impression that, by their very words, that violence is acceptable. . . . It is time we all stood up and spoke against that kind of reckless speech and behavior.”
So after the murder of abortion provider I was wondering when the linkage would begin. It didn’t take long. Only instead of waiting for Obama to do it, the left-wing media took the lead:
The implication of the headline in this MediaBistro site is clear – Bill O’Reilly has been hounding this guy for years and now he’s dead. If O’Reilly had just let him alone… Clearly someone wants O’Reilly and everybody at FNC arrested.
